About Probes
A software probe is a component of the network monitoring system that resides within a customer's corporate network. Probes enable the product to monitor multiple private networks without compromising existing security measures, no matter what IP addressing scheme is used. Probes are available in two deployment methods:
- Probe software: Probe software ISO installed on certified probe hardware (network appliance) provides full monitoring functionality.
- Windows probe software: Software-based probe that provides WMI and network-based monitoring of up to 25 KNEs.
Compatible Probe Hardware
This is hardware that has been reviewed by N-able Technologies. This specification is generally known to work however it has not been certified by N-able.
