N-able Technologies Kicks Off 2007 with Regional Partner Summit in Southern California
Industry Leader Uses Quarterly Education and Networking Events to Help Partners Cost- Effectively Establish and Grow Successful Managed Service Practices.
Ottawa, Canada — February 12, 2007 — N-able Technologies®, the leading provider of managed services software and business transformation services for resellers servicing small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced it will host its first 2007 Regional Partner Summit Friday, February 16 in Santa Ana, California, at the Doubletree Hotel.
With an expected attendance of more than 200 managed service providers (MSPs), this one-day, education and networking event offers an "unmatched learning opportunity for today's IT channel," says Gavin Garbutt, president & CEO, N-able Technologies. "We're providing partners with the inside track on what it takes to successfully sell managed services, maintain a profitable business model and stay ahead of the commoditization curve."
"Last year more than 700 MSPs attended our Regional Partner Summits and walked away with actionable strategies, tactics and insight to grow their business," continues Garbutt. "This year we've incorporated a number of detailed "how to" sales- and operations-focused training and education tracks, as well as roundtables and partner presentations to ensure we're providing the real-world perspective and business value our partners want."
In addition to the general session, N-able's Santa Ana Partner Summit will feature a number of meaningful keynotes including an address from Garbutt called "MSPs Staying Ahead of the Commoditization Curve" and a market opportunity snapshot from Gartner research director Tiffani Bova titled "MSP Evolution or Revolution." Intel® product marketing engineer Kevin Havre and Lexmark™ channel communications manager Kathleen Martin will also take center stage, as well as eWeek Channel Insider's Pedro Pereira who will moderate an open-microphone MSP partner panel featuring how four successful CEOs use managed services to acquire new customers.
During the event, N-able will recognize and welcome seven MSP partners to Nable's "Million Dollar Club" — a high-performance group of N-able MSPs who successfully transformed their business models and command more than one million dollars in high-value, annuity-based managed services sales.
Adding an additional real-world perspective to the event lineup, N-able will also debut several insightful partner-to-partner presentations and roundtables designed to complement its three signature education tracks: Selling Managed Services, Applied Managed Services and Technical. These include:
- Mergers and Acquisitions — A snapshot of how mergers and acquisitions are structured and the considerations that MSPs should undertake when selling or acquiring a company. Presented by N- able's Gavin Garbutt and Mike Cullen, vice president of sales.
- Selling Managed Services Discussion — A closer look at getting started and establishing a successful MSP business model. Moderated by Joseph P. Mercadante, CEO, JPMerc & Co.
- Secrets of Our Success — Chairman and CEO of masterIT J. Michael Drake will share how the combination of N-able's blueprint for success and N-able University™ coupled with masterIT's strategic planning methodology and unique Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) model has made the company one of the fastest growing MSPs in the nation.
- Successful Sales Strategies — N-able's Mike Cullen will provide insight on what it takes to establish and build a successful sales organization and adopt techniques that will help MSPs acquire new customers, boost profits and improve company revenues.
- Stories from the Field — President of Pardee Network Solutions Mark Pardee will share his experiences as a new N-able partner and highlight lessons learned and secrets of his initial successes in the field.
"Attending N-able's Boston Partner Summit was a great vehicle to assist with building a model for our diversified managed services offering", says James Whitmoyer, manager of technology services, D&E Communications. "Having the opportunity to interact with N-able partners, both new and established, has proven invaluable in building a successful practice, and has brought a level of clarity to what we really need to do in order to provide the high level of service that our customers expect."
Attendance at N-able's one-day Regional Partner Summits is by invitation only. The February 16 event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and sponsored by Intel (the event's principal sponsor) and Lexmark. Similar events will debut throughout the year including N-able's first international Partner Summit, which will be held March 15 in London, UK.
